Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a chemical resistant thermoplastic polymer with many useful physical characteristics. Naturally flame retardant, PVC is chemical resistant to fuels, acids, bases, fats, salts, alcohols, and oxidation.

Rigid PVC tubing (RPVC) exhibits high hardness and resilience with minimal creep deformation. Flex PVC tubing (FPVC), produced with the addition of either DEHP or non-DEHP plasticizers, provides the chemical resistance and durability of PVC in a flexible tube or hose. These properties provide PVC tubing with a very long service life with little maintenance.
